Tomie vs. Tomie

After witnessing his girlfriend Naoko's vicious murder, Itsuki is severely traumatized, and begins to see a therapist, hoping one day to return to work. Despite being murdered before him, Itsuki has no memory of the event. To complicate matters, Naoko's body is missing, and the police question whether the event actually took place. But Itsuki carries around a bone fragment he found, as proof that Naoko is in fact dead. Aware of the peculiarity of his condition, Itsuki returns to work at a mannequin factory. There, he is introduced to Tomie, a woman that looks exactly like his deceased love. Tomie seems to have a dark control over everyone... only Itsuki is immune, overwhelmed with his feelings for Naoko. Having never experienced this behavior from a man before, Tomie is drawn to Itsuki more and more. Meanwhile, Tomie seeks out a mysterious woman, also named Tomie. The two Tomies have been searching for each other, both with small moles under their left eyes... 2 Tomies? Has the breeding begun?
